Fruity and delicate, the 2020 red Bierzo Petalos is a delight in this generous and sunny vintage. The Mencia grape variety shows itself here, with a jovial and juicy structure, with notes of black fruits, blackberry and blackcurrant, and surrounded by supple, powdery, perfectly integrated tannins. A perfectly accomplished wine, with very good aging potential, which could be served in two or three years with simmered meats. Rated 93/100 by Parker.Vinification:
Hand harvested and partial de-stemming of the grapes. Fermentation in wooden and stainless steel vats. Maceration for 43 days. Aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.Color:
