Wine:

A model of intense, expressive red, the 2020 Red Cutio Carinena Garnacha-Carinena opens with luscious floral notes, notably rose and peony, hinting at this wine's warm, gourmet character. On aeration, additional spicy, smoky, almost spiky notes appear. The palate is full-bodied, both generous and powerful, with a beautiful ripeness of the harvest. An enjoyable wine today to pair with grilled or stewed meat. Rated 92/100 by the committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, fermented for 45 days in stainless steel tanks with temperature control below 26°C, aged in 225-liter French oak barrels of various ages (from new to 4 wines).

Color:

Bright red with good intensity, some vermilion highlights.

Nose:

Floral and fruity, with delicate aromas of rose and peony. On aeration, the nose reveals delicate notes of spice and an almost smoky touch.

Palate:

Generous and powerful, this wine releases a rich, full-bodied juice, a fine concentration of substance and a long finish of very ripe red fruit.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Mediterranean cuisine, red meats in sauce, navarin lamb, roast chicken with thin slices of chorizo under the skin, vegetable tian, ratatouille.
