Jorge Monzon, a prominent figure in Spanish viticulture, has honed his expertise with some of the world's greatest wineries, including Romanée Conti and Vega Sicilia. At his Dominio del Aguila vineyard, which is managed using organic farming and biodynamic practices, he has been excelling for over a decade in creating intensely focused cuvées, treated with the care of grand crus.

Crowning his success, he has even entered the realm of legends by joining Pingus in the exclusive circle of Ribera del Duero wines rated 100/100 by Parker, a testament to his exceptional skill and dedication.

These two Ribera del Duero cuvées are unparalleled successes, adored by Parker year after year. Highly sought after, the estate is always in great demand, and having the opportunity to acquire its bottles is a privilege. An essential achievement for all lovers of great wines.

Originating from the estate's oldest vines, perched at an altitude of 900 meters, the 2021 red Ribera del Duero Picaro is an intense and generous wine, exceptionally balanced. Tempranillo is the predominant grape, but the intermingled vines bring additional complexity and nuances. The result is a wine of intense depth, carried by its freshness and concentration, with beautiful wafts of black fruit punctuated by a smoky touch. It presents precise, pure, and crunchy fruit, blending power and richness, a ripe and silky juice of total indulgence! Rated 93-94/100 by the Committee.

Another major triumph from Jorge Monzon! The 2020 red Ribera del Duero Reserva epitomizes elegance and strength, having been aged extensively in barrels. Comprising 95% Tempranillo, with the remainder being old, interplanted varieties at 900 meters altitude, it offers a concentrated and precise juice, full of subtlety and energy. Its silky tannic structure, the spicy and taut flesh, and the profound finish make it irresistible. Truly a masterpiece!
