Wine:

A Selection Committee favourite, rated 93/100, the 2018 Kamptal Ries Seeberg Riesling comes from mica-schist soils, a former desert with perfect southern exposure. At 300 metres in altitude, this well-ventilated site shapes a powerful yet elegant white with great aging potential. Complex layers of honeyed, smoky notes, tea, verbena, and herbal infusions unfold beautifully. The wine’s pure, linear structure is both refined and expressive, offering a juicy, long-lasting finish. Vinification:

Hand harvested on October 17, 2018. Spontaneous fermentation. Traditional vinification. Aged for 35 months on fine lees in oak barrels.

Bright yellow.

Nose:

Complex aromatic bouquet of honey, tea, verbena and honeysuckle.

Palate:

A smooth structure with a perfect balance of acidity and purity, delivering crisp, crystalline flavours.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.
