Wine:

The 2019 Vintage Red Port is one of the standout successes of its year. With a deep, nearly black hue and beautiful legs, it promises remarkable concentration and depth of flavor. The nose reveals fresh, intense aromas of cherry in syrup, with a subtle warmth from the fortification spirit—perfectly integrated and never overpowering. On the palate, it offers a pure, juicy, and spiced profile, both dense and firm, making it a superb match for seared foie gras or blue cheese. Its balance, freshness, and careful aging are particularly noteworthy. Serve slightly chilled at around 10°C. With an immense aging potential, this Port can evolve for at least 50 years. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, traditionally crushed by foot in lagares (granite vats). Fermentation interrupted by the addition of wine brandy. Aged for 2 years in medium-sized oak vats called toneis.

Color:

Dark red, almost black, with violet highlights and beautiful tears.

Nose:

Releasing fresh notes upon aeration, this wine opens with intense aromas of cherries in syrup, highlighted by a delicate hint of dark fruits.

Palate:

Pure, juicy, and dense, it envelops the palate with a rich, subtly spiced structure. A beautifully balanced wine with a touch of refreshing finesse.

Temperature:

Serve chilled at around 10°C.
