The 2021 Red Crozes-Hermitage Clos des Grives is undoubtedly one of the standout wines of the appellation—structured, with depth, volume, and a touch of oak that will integrate beautifully over time. The fruit is perfectly balanced, showing both ripeness and freshness, with cool, smoky notes mingling with violet and a refined hint of oak. The tannins are beautifully shaped and elegant, leading to a long, finely smoky finish. Rated 94/100 by RVF.Vinification:
Hand harvested with selective sorting. Single plot, clay-limestone plateau with rounded pebbles, 60-year-old vines. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Aged for 12 months in Burgundy barrels (new at 3 years). Aged for a further 12 months in bottle.Estate organically farmed since 1969.
